Alam kuh is the largest mountain area in Alborz mountain range in Iran. Kelardasht District of Mazandaran Province is located in North of Iran. With an elevation of 4,850 meters, Alam kuh is the second highest peak in Iran after Mount Damavand. This mountainous region with more than 160 peaks higher than 4000 has deep glaciers and high walls. This region is known as Iranian Alps. Iran Horizon recommends Alam kuh as best place for acclimatization for ascending Mount Damavand.
Our tour guides will pick you up from the hotel and then will go through Karaj and Chaloos road, one of the most attractive roads of Iran. After passing Kelardasht, will set camp near Vandarbon river.
Although we can continue the route by car, it is highly recommended to start hiking from the tent. Otherwise, our Climbing is almost car-based. We will be in Hesarchal camp till evening.
Today we are going to climb Lashgarak peak with the height of 4250 m and Gardonehkouh peak with the height of 4400 m for more acclimatization, then return to our base camp till noon.
After having breakfast in the morning, we will move to Alam kuh peak. It doesn't need to use technical climbing. we will reach the peak at noon. Now you are on Alam kuh with high wall and Caspian sea view. After taking some photos, we will return to our camp. now it is time to walk around a natural lake and enjoy the view.
After taking our burden to the muleteer, we will head to Tangeh Galou. After 2 hours later will arrive at the road then drive to Vandarbon, Kalardasht then your accommodation in Tehran.
