this Alamut tour is designed for people who would like to experience untouched nature via trekking rather than using the car. We enter the area by trekking to be able to fully experience nature and our surroundings. We will explore part of the vital way between silk road and the Caspian Sea and going to the Alamut valley tour, one of most pristine and best preserved areas in Iran. Also, we see local villagers and get a feel of the local culture in this area. Its possible to reach the Caspian Sea with only 2 days more trekking from Alamut mountain.
We will leave Tehran early in the morning and head to Taleghan. Breakfast is served on way. After giving baggage to muleteer in Vardeh village, trekking to Alamut valley will start along a marked and lush path up to camp site near sheep heard. Camp site is at 2850 meter elevation witch gives us breath taking views of the mountains in front of us.
Head to Dineh rood Village after taking down the tents and delivering them to muleteers, we are going to ascent to 3300 meters Alamut pass mountain. Now we continue downhill to the end of Alamut valley along a very beautiful path. Village Life after 2 days of trekking , today we spend time resting and familiarize ourselves with village life. We are going to milk their cattle, learn how to bake traditional bread, and how to cook local dishes using recipes that have been used for thousands of years. Villagers with collaborate with in preparing these dishes and in the end, we have the chance taste what we have cooked.
Move to Alamut Castle tour In the morning after 3 hours hiking in the beautiful area, we going to reach Garmaroud village. From there we drive by car to Gazerkhan village to visit Alamut castle then go to Ovan Lake which is a huge spring for Lunch. We will spend the night in a local house in the area.
Drive to Qazvin After having breakfast, we are going to drive to Qazvin . This city was the capital of the Persian Empire during the Safavid Dynasty and important city along the silk road. We will visit Chehel Soton and walk in the traditional bazaar. For lunch a traditional local dish called "Gheimeh Nesar" is served then, we drive back to Tehran.
